Approach to change
Understanding our external and internal surroundings will help us strengthen our collaboration with partners who share our goals and ambitions. Our goal is to help women and young people develop strong institutions and connect them with similar organizations. We will engage in credible, realistic, and human rights Inspired campaigns at the local and district levels. TAL will assist capacity development, information collecting, and action by utilizing participatory approaches such Participatory Approaches, Village Savings and Loans, Violence and Girls Clubs, and Farmer Field Schools. We will increase our participation in strategic procedures including technical working groups, task forces, and steering committees.
Our ways of working
Our ways of working will be strategic and comprise of Consulting by doingResearch, Data Collection, Capacity Building and working with partners, coalitions, networks and alliances to influence policy formulation, legal and regulatory frameworks that are in the interest of Women and Young People; we will further work with community structures to strengthen their powerwithin to enable them raise advocacies that will influence policy change that is in their interest.
Partnerships
For greater impact of our work at all levels, we will work with partners with whom we share similar goals, objectives and values based on mutual respect and accountability. In cases where we cannot identify such partners, we will work directly with communities. We will use the profile of partners we work with to assess their strategic fit with great emphasis on their capacity level and needs. In our partner selection processes, we will be very open to constructive change but priority will be given to the constituency and strategicfocus of potential partnership. In addition, emphasis will be placed on stronggovernance structures and effective and efficient financial management regulations and systems. TAL is open to working with like-minded partners particularly those who have the capacity to nurture us and ensure closesupervision and support.
Coalitions, Networks and Alliances
Our relationship with coalitions, networks and alliances will be based on short term but agenda focused, common and joint programming. We will also work with International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGO) and other National Non-Governmental Organizations (NNGO) Community Based Organizations (CBOs) towards the same goal and in the best interest of the general populace. Where these Coalitions, Networks and Alliances do not exist, we will facilitate setting up of new ones, and we will together reach out for capacity development support, link up with like-minded institutions that can support credible human rights inspired campaigns at all levels.
